SANTAI OFFROAD : TAMAN NEGARA SUNGAI SELAI, BEKOK, JOHOR

The three full days event held during the 4th weeks of July bcoz of extra weekend for this month..! weird..! With this opportunity, the SANTAI OFFROAD for the third editions gathered people from various clubs and communities at LUBUK MEREKEK, SG SELAI, BEKOK in Johor from 21-25 July 2011.

Red Adventure appointed AM4x4 Adventurer and MyLandy as the coordinator and with the help of JASRA for this round with full of joys and fabulous moments after the LUBUK TREKKER at SG LEMBING and M4W at CHENGAL BESAR respectively.

With a different approached, the expedition consists of charity mission to Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Kluang and to the students of SK Kg Kudong in Bekok with the AmBank Group contributions under CSR project. Infact the 4Wheelers enthusiasts get along and been feted with simple breakfast with all the kids before we depart for the offroading sectors to Bekok via classics view of small town called Paloh.

Campsite was located at Lubuk Merekek and the next day, a jungle trekking to explore the part of Taman Negara Sg Selai started after the breakfast. It takes us about one and a half hour to touchdown at the Waterfall. On the nite scenery, Dr Kamy delivered a very good talk and slides about ‘sustainable offroading’ on his perpectives as the leader in his community known as NATURE TRACKERS. The ‘sewang’ session was ‘di hidang’ after the visit of all the expedition members to SK Kg Kudong, a very modern and potential school for Orang Asli of the locals. Other activities set up by the organizer was so entertaining, the ‘sumpit’ (blow pipes) competition among the participants create lots of highlight and laughter during the day, it’s fun and enjoyable…not forgetting to those who called themselves as ‘hardcore’ anglers…a fishing competition drags Sembilang (the Lubuk Trekker members) who managed to hooked a Sebarau and announced as a winner in that cartegory.

We packed on the final day after heavy breakfast and lead to Kuala Lumpur in a big loose convoy. The clearance of the campite has been managed properly by the organizer in order to make sure no ‘things’ left behind. That’s what we should do…long live 4Wheelers….

Thumbs up to the organizer and wish a very Happy Ramadhan Al Mubarak to all 4Wheelers.

Thanks and keep on rolling…
