Terengganu will host the International DR 4x4 Ranggok endurance race from March 9 to 11. The three-day event offering RM31,000 prize money would be held at the Kampung Gong Cempedak endurance race track, here.
Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said about 1,800 local and international participants, including from Indonesia, Thailand and Australia are expected to take part. "Such events are a good way to promote Terengganu. It can attract local and foreign tourists to the state, especially lovers of extreme sports," he told reporters after visiting the site of the race. He said the event, divided into individual and team, would comprise four disciplines, namely cubcross, motorcross, cycling and a four wheel drive race.
